In my opinion surfing can't really be taught, people can give u pointers and those might speed up ur learning but ultimately u have to get the hang of it by yourself. So just get out there and surf it up!

@dullath Yeah :-) I had the same reaction. I don't think most people realize how cool it is to be in the barrel like that though. With years of paddling you know currents and waves and walls BETTER than the back of your hand. But without that experience I don't think you can really be attracted to such a thing...people think like uh, kind of like a theme park park...a rollercoaster, but with an effort. I'd rather just sit on a rollercoaster. I don't think the sheep 'get' it...lol

i always try to catch nice big waves in jersey and i paddle as hard i can get wiped back in X30 then i eventually get out past the breakers and wait then my wave comes i go as hard as i can the push and my board dives and then im a submersable surfer :P
