The entire video was shot on green screen after editing in all the background elements we recorded all the HD footage off of a tv with a VHS camera. @Kaylanthedj You are partially correct: 1. Vevo is not a problem: without it we would be watching shit quality videos 2. Copyright infringement isn't a big problem because if you want to post a song just start it 1 second in, then it is fine. If you want to watch the video for the song, Vevo lets you watch it in GOOD QUALITY 3. The ads are the only real problem, they are extremely annoying and need not to be on youtube.

youtube has done everything to keep bringing videos to people free. They have recieved so many lawsuits from record companies among other things and a vevo contract is one of the ways they maintain revenue so they dont have to start charging you. Plus, if you really want to fight vevo you have stop clicking on any of their videos. They get paid by advertisements according to how many views their channels and videos get. I hate vevo too, but its kinda a necessity at this point.
