Congratulations! Your RSE Surf Theme has evolved into remastered ORAS Surf Theme!
Gen 2 was a good generation but it had a sucky, terrible ass surf theme.

I'm going to be honest, I'm a weak Emulator player who has played Emerald, Fire Red, Red version, and various other ROM hacks. I haven't played any other core series game, but I know in my heart that the Surf theme in Pokémon: RSE, and its successor , Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, is the best theme of all. I am aware that people who have legit played the games will say that I'm not faithful to the series, but I think Pokémon should be enjoyed thoroughly, no matter how you play it. The beauty of the Surf theme in AS kinda emphasizes that.

Well, technically you do dive in WW, but only for a specific point near the midpoint and end of the game.

Apparently Wailmer has a unique surf model, though with no benefits.
Also, Kyogre has a unique surf model that is fast (but not as fast as Sharpedo), but with obvious size issues underwater
Really, the only reason not to use Sharpedo to Surf is if you want to go fishing.

The remakes fixed all those problems! It feels so good riding on a Sharpedo and frolicking around the water wherever I go! Although now the Pelippers are the annoying ones. :P
But I loved the badges.
OR and AS are two of the best pokemon games so far. I don't understand how you can say that they deserve below a 6. They were very good Gen 6 pokemon games unlike X and Y.
Encounter rates in water have been decreased by 60% of the original encounter rates , you spend less than 10% of the game on water, there are repels and if you have a Sharpedo, you travel at 3x surf speed. There is not too much water, you are just a noob.
