Place probably rips on a larger swell. Small but clean. And yes this is Ireland. Water is comparable to Canada.

reminds me of Haggartys here in LA. if its rocky bottom (and shallow) then foot protection is recommended.

+Deep Meditation 2015 OK, realization here, you said bodyboarder, they would need "socks" to protect their feet when wearing flippers. now I get it. back in the old days, we would just have bare feet and get blisters, I recall. some guys might have worn regular socks. I could see booties being used as socks, so I still not sure we really need "sockies". booties though, are great. love em. as for me surfing, well I already said, I quit, in AUG 2014. currently no plans to restart surfing again, which, yes, is kinda sad, but alas that's life. no worries, on my end.

+Deep Meditation 2015 I do need to keep on surfing. I quit recently. as for booties without tread on bottom, useless I say! again, socks useless, booties useful. I don't see why they invented the neoprene sock. anyways. I digress. I need a surf session. yes. indeed.

Yep we have a different lingo here. The neoprene sock doesn't normally have tread on the sole - the difference between sock and Boot(ie(s). Also, commonly used by bodyboarders.

+Deep Meditation 2015 OK sir, now we're getting somewhere. maybe in Europe or somewhere there is different lingo. I always assumed "booties" was the correct term. thx for clarifying! glad we can draw some conclusions here. as for neoprene socks, I still couldn't believe that, so I typed it in Google Search, and yes I found them! (so you're right, they do exist) BUT!!! they look identical to booties. (that's what booties are, neoprene socks/shoes combined, i.e. neoprene socks are USELESS! booties are all you need)
