Yes you can but at this level it is really difficult. You can catch maybe it twice out of ten attempts. The problem is the shit down current is pretty scary to paddle through. Aloha

Great video. I own a paddlesport company right here on the Sunshine Coast where this wave is. FYI, it's not a river. This is entirely ocean; a tidal rapid where the water rushes in and out of the Sechelt Inlet at the Skookumchuck Narrows

I'm going to be a pedantic asshole and point out that this isn't a tidal bore. A bore is the leading edge of a tide, which forms a moving wave at the beginning of the flow tide, versus this is a wave train formed by a tidal race.

Yes. Imagine one that is a perfect barrel, a perfect stationary transition of water, a skate ramp of water. So it truly blends surfing & skating in that regard. The medium for the rider is always the same.
