sharks attack when hungry, they think surfers are seals/dolphins which is why they attack. They are attacking to eat. They don't eat people because they usually don't feel right between their teeth. Also there are aquariums where you can swim with sharks and they say they feed them up so they are relaxed and don't attack. I live in SA, I grew up with friends getting their boards bitten in 3 pieces and crazy shark reports every summer... but not all sharks are white pointers either, so maybe we're both right just about different breeds of shark.

To use your analogy, I cant ride a motorbike at 100 mph off a 30 foot ramp, all I can do is ride on the roads at normal speeds safely, go on freeways and go A to B.
