Is that you?
Wow! How long did it take him to surf there?
;-)
They would.
No, seriously, of COURSE they did. I mean it's right there in the Bible in Leviticus 29:14.
Isn't it?

Its hilarious but...he was a Rabi called Rabi Akiva.
He lived in the 1st and 2nd hundred AC. Lived until the age of 120, died in 136 AC. <---
In one of the stories he mentioned a time when his ship was caught in a storm and started to sink.
--> He managed to get hold on a flat board and saved his live: by catching passing waves until he reached to shore.
P.S. :
This record is prior 1500 years to captain cook diaries! And place him as the first surfer in the history of human kind!
Just a funny fact :-)

Europeans were surprised with how quickly they could move from country to country, while their boats were much slower.
Seems legit
Could you guys make a video about witches and the psychology of curses??? I know it's off topic for this video but it would be really interesting ^^
Keep up the awesome work!
I'd pay to see all of the monarchs of today having a surfing competition. My money would go to Queen Elizabeth
Just like the Apocalypse predicted.
Also where did you get that map of Australia?
~Bill Hamilton
As an added note, a character I am inexplicably infatuated with is pretty much a Surfer Dude... but I love him for it.
Wow is it fun! How much fun would it be if I were actually any good?!

Imagine how many cultures or even technological advances we wouldn't be puzzled about while reading documents of european colonizers if they didn't mess up other places in the first place. The global language is english and many of scientific or literary foundation today came from white cultures, though we know east asia is also rich of pioneers and thats because its one of the least influenced by white cultures. Now imagine if europe was colonized/exploited by another culture and majority of natives were massacred (like what they always did), they wouldn't be able to progress that much and their literary documents and scientific discoveries/progress (either from 1000AD or 1900AD) would be lost in history. Including kepler, darwin, newton and other geniuses. So saying that colonization is good since it brings progess, no its not. It brings progress to only one culture then completely or partially erase another.
We also make video about science. Come check us out
Go tigers!
Oh my gosh- Yes-
25 videos later... okay, one more love your videos! It's a great way to wind down, and these videos also enlighten my interests. Do you have videos on the industrial revolution?
And you actually do...
Hawaii became a state
So he didn't fail?
I noticed a lot of people antagonizing them as destroyers of cultures. Yes, due to the power put in their hands, they were the ones to do it to the largest degree. However, conquest and suppression have been a global pattern, and any other peoples would have destroyed others' cultures as the Europeans had if they were put in the same situation.
So I just want to make sure the whole cultural destruction thing isn't associated wholly with race.
A decent sized portion of China, too. Although they didn't really stay long enough in any if these places to have as much impact as the Europeans had on the subjects' cultures.
Hello Lucien....how's it going?

Just be ready.
Fundies think that everything ( well most things) are sinful. Fun-dies with fundies.
its Europeans , Christianity doesn't discriminate
1. Not every Christian is the same.
2. Those that represent the portion that are commonly seen as antagonistic have not changed one iota from those in the past.

I've never surfed before, very possibly none of my friends do.
I live on a beautiful island called Taiwan though, so it's not because I'm living in an interior land or something.
BLAME IT ON THE WHITES

Culture = destroyed
its just that its the bad one which we hear about :/
It came from another culture that had different gods.
That’s my guess, anyway
Also called: WESTERN colonization!
Can figure it Out.
examples: Baal, Belzebub
Overall it was mostly a political practice in the end, what better way to start a propoganda war or rumors then claiming the other side worships devils or demons.
From Hawaii
European culture has had the strongest influence in the world for the last 500 years, the Gregorian calendar is considered the world standard, European languages have been the lingua Franca for hundreds of years, a European religion is the most popular on earth.
Can I ask, have you ever been to Europe? you won't find cathedrals like they have in Europe anywhere else. European artists are the most famous on earth, American cultural influence is the strongest on earth.
It's just a blatant falsehood.
The world is very lucky that the most destructive cultures are also the most inquisitive, imagine is some other culture colonized the Pacific but made no record of the cultures they destroyed.
By the way, Pine Ridge reserve has life expectancy like Afghanistan and Somalia. There's a good Ted Ed talk about said wasi'chu.
And have you seen hawaii now ? It’s sad when people have to be told “only stay in the tourist-y parts, anything outside of it is dangerous and a slum” . Having your home only being known for a tourist trap doesn’t seem like a good thing to me
This is ironic since I am both an aquaphobe and an erotophobe.
Internet was made so that a vast knowledge would be at our fingertips,
Some fcker decided to put p0rn on it, and moments later something else was on the tips of our fingers.

That's also how we got computer viruses, because the Europeans brought that with them.
You know, it would make an interesting video too.
