France itself is of course a very old and mature country, yet surprisingly the level of humour and entertainment there is so low and basic for a culture that is in other ways, very sophisticated. Incidentally, my experiences in France have all been very pleasant and I have found the French to be extremely welcoming and nothing at all like their reputation suggests.
I hope that clears all this up. So in summary – always have a big idea; don't just throw a bunch of disconnected, small bits and pieces together. And drink Red Bull for breakfast, lunch and dinner for maximum extreminess.

Look at that Remi guy. There is a video of him in a kangaroo suit running around annoying people. It has millions of views. Is that what you guys call humour? When I was 3 years old I would have thought something like that was funny. This video should have had Remi in a kangaroo suit kicking people off the surfboard. You guys would have rolled around on the floor laughing at it.
Do you need my help making the next video? If this is how easily entertained you are, I will get you a hundred million views no problem! How about this idea: a man dressed as a unicorn, fighting the kangaroo man, inside a shark cage, with a man dressed as a shark swimming around in the water outside, and some clowns in kayaks pouring feathers onto the water from watering cans. You can have this idea for free. But please credit me when the video goes viral in France. Thank you.
