Maverick's, in Half Moon Bay, California, is one of the surfing's most menacing and dangerous big waves. This edit shows exactly why. impressive film!
Have a nice day :)
What a save at the end! Woulda been really cool if the dude laid back for the full coffin ride.
Don't know that he was thinking along those lines... showmanship versus survival.
Great post TI.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANTLY BEAUTIFUL!!
I was thinking the same thing, but considering that I would never attempt Mavs, I used a different k-word. "Knuckleheads "
Here hold my beer
I saw that and said "?whaaat?"
the second rider seemed to agree...

no damned hip hop or rap !! which does not go with the beauty of surfing.
. . . you said it Alberto. Beautiful music and magnificent photography. Whoever filmed this . . . I take my hat off to you.
I can't believe he went left. Was that a courtesy or is there a decent left on Mavs? I've never seen it.
what is its name?
...and at the end...slipped..whoops..but landed on my board. yeah...you had a horseshoe hidden somewhere bro.
Claimed it.
hahaha I live in HB and have surfed everywhere from the Ranch to Tiajuana sloughs for the last 30 years..... I usually just swim up since your so deep(& ears popping) you can feel which way the leash is pulling. But hey whatever works for you.... maybe a pfd would help if you go that big?
I know, right? I was wondering if anyone goes left there, then a moment later, I see him get clobbered trying to beat that left.
Appreciate it for what it is if you can.
I'm pianist and would love to play this piece of music. I looked around for the music but couldn't find it? Got a link maybe please? Would be appreciated.
