holy shit that's so weird, I went to the exact same volcano, hiked up and sled down just like you did on my World Challenge trip, coincidently, there was some other group after us and one of the people went really slow right after the ridgeline, from the top, it looked like it was clear for another person to go as you could no longer see the other person just going slowly. The next person went way too fast and when he/she went over the ridgeline, he/she smashed into the back of the other rider. An ambulance was called and I think she had some major injuries to her spine, pretty sad stuff.
