The location is Waimea Bay on the north shore of the island of Oahu, Hawaii. There is a river that runs real close to the beach so you can just take some shovels or whatnot and dig a path to connect the river to the ocean.

It's coming from waimea valley. This is one of the bigger rivers on the north shore. It often lagoons right there were the river is suppose to run into the ocean. When the rains come it carves it's path into the ocean but with a little help from man and his machines fun can be created!

The natural erosive properties of nature put the sediment back either way. Walking on the beach by millions of humans creates erosion as well... do you plan on never walking on a beach? The Earth is dynamic.

How is it destroying the environment? All that was done was deepen an existing channel which could be narrowed again through erosion alone. Beaches are at the whims of nature. I've seen them stripped sand by storms, leaving nothing but rocks.
