Great opening of the video with the old time footage. Is the pump house in S FL? Never surfed much south of Sebastian back in the day. Mostly New Smyrna and north all the way to Hatteras. 80s & early 90s.

The only problem with Florida is that when there isn't a hurricane, it's hard to find a good surfing spot where the waves don't break all at once so that there is a lip. But overall florida waves are decent because there is usually a sandbar at most beaches that is near the break, so you can hit wave after wave without so much paddling back out to the surf in deeper water.

caught reef road on late winter, early spring cold front wit bro from Hawaii, wayyyyyyyyy cleaner, wayyyyyyyyy, wayyyyyyyyy, wayyyyyyyyy, glassier, n twice the size! Scott McCrannels was out getting 90 second + rides! haven't seen one vid that even comes close! my bro said was closest thing to north shore he'd ever seen! intervals wayyyyyyyyy to short wit hurricane swell I guess,,, nice footage tho!

hurricane irene was great for surf, I remember surfing it in Rhode island with 10-15 foooters rolling in, but it did a massive ammount of damage in vermont where half the roads were whipe out

it's not really possible to accurately predict, the last time florida got hit hard was '04, i've lived here on the coast since '08 and all we've gotten is one tropical storm, no hurricanes.

@BlaminX No one ever seems to have a problem when you are on the beach filming. I'm sure if I was in the water with my board it would have been different. From what I saw everyone was getting along. Biggest issue was the parking, had to bribe a kid to let me park at his house.
