I wonder why do so many people think this was just a random guy that felt like doing that. This was, OBVIOUSLY, part of an event, it doesn't take a big brain to figure that out since the boat is a rescue boat and the footage is from World Surf League. I mean, at least read the got dam description.

This is a safety boat for the surfers on tour on the WSL , world surfing league. If the skipper was in the wrong he will not get the job again as the safety manager is very on safety. My question is why 2 times. Surely the same "accident" cant happen twice.

When you are using a motor to stay in front of the breaking wave, you are disqualified. Same applies to jet skis, which I've seen do the same. All a surfer needs is a board and a wave. Riding a wave of energy with just a small board is a pretty cool thing. I've raced motorcycles (dirt and street) and cars which is fun and exciting, but that's different. There's just something special about being connected to the Planet, that you get from surfing.

There was a boat designed by Calkins in the early sixties( approx.). It was called the "Bartender" & was built to be safe while rescuing people from the ocean, not just to screw around, endanger surfers & cause people on shore to clap & go Woooooh.

Look at the :06 mark. Clearly ther are two surfers paddling out. If that boat capsized then was tumbling through the surf someone could have paid for that attention whoring move with their life.
