Cool video, sadly ,y two neon tetras died the first night I got them. But they were two of my FIRST fish, and I didn't add water slowly into their bag. I just poured them in

Trista S you are meant to have a bit of bacteria from the fish in the tank first so that is why they died. My fish died on the second day I got them

I always throw them in with no problem, usually don't put the fish store water in either, in nature fish are always being thrown into pools of cooler water with different parameters, nature's thermostat doesn't always work either, if fish were as weak as implied there would be no fish lol. I bet your tank wasn't cycled properly or the fish you bought were sick.

Thanks!, with the neons dieing so early there may have been a problem with them (such as an illness) when you bought them, but also it might have been they didn't acclimatise to the tank properly.
