I've seen someone's finger get bitten off by an eel while walking the reef on the low tide. Me and my dad we're looking for tako for bait and to take home. Then all of a sudden we heard a loud bloody cry from hell. We both turned around and seen a guy playing tug of war with a 5ft eel and yes the eel won that game!. So we rushed to see what had happened wrapped up his stub ( pointy finger almost in the middle I would say) got the eel cut its head off got his finger out rushed him to the hospital to see if they could put it back together again. Well long story short no they couldn't due to eels have 2 sets of jaws kinda like the movie aliens his finger was severely beyond repair

I've seen an eel take someone's finger with a audible pop, I still hear that pop when I think about it. Ouch!

That Eel was crazy. I was wade fishing once in knee high water when an Octopus decided to sneak up and grab my leg. Never screamed so loud in my life. Had no idea what was happening and tripped over my feet immediately and fell over. Father thought I'd been attacked by a shark. Only psychological damage but will never forget it. Lucky that eel didn't take a chunk Cav.

No no it did! my GoPro wasn't on and missed the start strike... Didn't realise I was cut up until later on cos I was wet! Full on tropical infection kicked in next days, big head ache's
