Fishing has been tough for the past few weeks. As temperatures begin to warm up, the catfish become a little more active and start getting into their spring patterns. I went out for a night bite with my buddy, Phil, hoping to catch a giant blue catfish. The flow was spilling 48,000 cfs - great conditions for anchor fishing. We fished three spots and caught two respectable blue catfish. Water temperature was 51 degrees. Who's all ready for warmer weather? I sure am! I've some pics of 1/4" patasites I've seen infesting a couple of fish.
The parasites are tube shaped like a transparent worn with three hooks in their mouths that they latch on with, usually around the fish's fins & mouth.
