I am also curious as to what kind of flies your using for the most part in this video.
You two are good at fishing by the way. great mending techniques. I noticed that just after the mend is when you would normally hook one. So great job guys. keep it up.!!!.!!!....!!!.

16:45, Im here In Wisconsin and i just caught a 17" rainbow and he was the smallest one of the bunch, had a 27" the day before, but still they get bigger than that around lake Michigan and Ive seen a few pushing 35" this year already, so your right it really depends on your area. Here I would say anything over 25" is a good fish

maybe you should come on up to lake Michigan one of these days (If you make it to Milwaukee Ill buy you a beer or three), we also have Chinook, Coho, and lake trout, Ive seen some guys land browns over 20# this year, and my best Chinook was 22#. Although I gotta say, your backdrop in NZ is waaaay better than here, thanks for replying, tight lines :)

Colin Winkelmann 25 would be good in this area aswell. Yeah there are some massive fish over there, big browns on Michigan and the world record rainbow coms from the USA somewhere aswell.

You caught a nice bunch of fish there! Personally I won't recommend those protein bars, unless you're trying to climb the cliff like the Apolo XIII, they are like flares you know ha ha. Very good video Gareth!
