+Choua Xiong Collecting/fishing laws and license requirements vary from state to state and those laws and licenses vary upon what is being caught.

Can you give more details on how you catch the fish scuba, saine net, boat? Can you also give us some information on how to catch our own tropical strays, best season, where they like to hang out, best weather?

Yeah i did good last year i have cling fish n they breed in my tank i like doing local less stess on the fish . Ppl use to tell me fish were cold water n they would die but thats not true i have even starfish from ct n i hand feed them n they are doing good n the diy firters work way better .also fishermen told me they seen loinfish in long island i hope they dont kill ever thing cuz we have sharp nose puffer tell your pals in LI to make a vid if they could thks

It is only about fish and collecting Tropical Strays.
I used to know guys up your way (some guys from the Biomes) and on Long Island, who sometimes have better collecting years than I have down here!

As to seahorses, they are here year round. They are called "Northern" or " Llined" seahorses (Hippocampus erectus) and are indigenous to the entire east coast of the US from Florida to Long Island.

It is all due to the gulf stream. Many Caribbean fish can be found all the way up to New England during the late summer early fall. Go to my other youtube user channel: TropicalStrays to learn more.

Can you help me understand why these tropical fish are in the cold waters of the east coast? When do they show up, is it seasonal....I know they would die either way so good job

I know you are young, but trust me when I tell you, these fish can handle being out of the water for a few seconds. I would not do it if it harmed them.

@rollawaythestone1 So much for trying to think then, huh! Stick to believing, not thinking from now on. Thinking really isn't your forte. Believing in magical lands of spirit plains, goblins, demons, cherubim, etc is more your speed. Take care and remember Jesus even loves the feeble minded, so you will be OK. : )

@123wpb456collector Hi 123, I am just finishing up my 3rd installment in that vid series (collecting tropical strays). I should have it up within the next few days. I think it is funny how the guys even further north (I live in Virginia Beach, Va), kick my butt when it comes to collecting. Long Island, Rhode Island, they get all kinds of things, including small lionfish, cowfish, queen triggers, and angelfish. Alot of good collecting stories from New Jersey as well.

@bumpylemon I keep up with collectors in RI and also LI. They're already catching more than I am finding. All you mentioned +lionfish, queen trigs + flying gurnards. There's a secret to catching seahorses - you just need to know where to look. Since you live in RI, I can share that info with you in a PM if you like. I went out yesterday and found 0 seahorses, 1 spotfin butterflyfish and grabbed two horseshoe crabs for the Virginia Living Museum. Going tomorrow to find blue angelfish!

awesome! ive been out like 10x this season. I have yet to catch a damn seahorse! Im going outta Rhode Island. Love the Burrfish as well. Ive caught short big eyes, bandtail puffers, spotfin butterflys, cornetfish, filefish, and cowfish. You are lucky to be much more south! good videos
