http://www.reefari.com Another awesome fishing video of the amazing coral sea and into the remote Diamond islet group. This video starts at South Diamond Islet, one of the first coral Atolls we come across with Vegetation. Can't tell you how amazing a location this is, Try and find it on Google Earth and will see how far offshore we are. Approx 400 Kilometres plus and over 30 hours of steaming, but well worth it for such a pristine area. The fishing was amazing with some great fish caught throwing poppers and Stickbaits off the beach. Visibility for some diving off the beach was mind blowing and lots of big Bluespot coral trout were very memorable. Jason's great effort of a big GT off the beach in some very difficult reefy country was insane, and great to release the GT in good condition. Bluefin Trevally, Sharks, Moray eels and heaps more including the wonderful birdlife which have probably never seen humans. These are the things which make for a special trip. Make sure you check out norval fishing charters and South Diamond islet for an ultimate trip out to the coral sea. The bottom fishing was difficult, with lots of Red Bass and sharks a constant problem, indicative of a healthy reef system, but the Weather did make it difficult to fish the open areas of the Plateau and amazing drop offs on the continental shelf, and the insane pelagic potential this area had for Monster Dogtooth.
