I've made quite a few. The baits die from there being too much current with the tides, it gets stolen or the waves from the boats destroys it.

The baits that have been around are Glass Minnows that are too small, usually this time of the year there should be some greenies that come around.

thats so sick. is it possible to have a trap off your dock to catch live bait? or you'd pretty much just have to castnet for some mullet and then live-line those. Im sure the snook wouldnt be able to resist a live bait in front of them, like a pilchard or one of those type baitfish.

There were some Pilchards and Sardines I was able to catch with sabiki and hook up on a few decent Snook. I went today and had no luck :( I agree with fishman post more of these!

Thanks, I know I'm really lucky to live here. Snook usually bite the best when the tides are switching and then during low tide. They are almost always swimming around but have learned to ignore all types of baits. Nighttime at high tide they move around a lot too.

There haven't been any big baits around, all Glass Minnows that I don't want to gill in my cast net lol

It's supposed to be, but it is weighted so it sinks down a little. I thought it was supposed to have topwater action but I dunno.

Make more of these bro. These videos of you fishing from your dock or even out on your boat are so awesome. You have the picture perfect waterways to fish. You should be up to Fishing With Joop episode 50, can you try to make one every week or so? Or is it difficult to time out the times the snook will be by your dock? Im sure since you're right in the inlet, that they're probably all around you if you just come out at the right time during the tide right? When do you usually see them?
