Fish eating your plants, is only a problem if you like the plants as much as you like the fish. In this video, I show you one of the ways to stop the fish eating your plants, or at least reduce the amount of nibbling on your live aquarium plants. The difference between a Flower garden and a Vegetable garden, is that the Vegetables taste a lot better. So the more Vegetable foods you feed your fish, the less they will want to attack your live aquarium plants. Feeding your fish Cucumber/Zucchini, Peas, and Algae pellets is a good part of maintaining a healthy variety of foods, and reduces the nibbling on your plants. My fish aren't eating the leaves but I seem to find a lot of while leaves floating around the tank. It looks like they came off at the stem. Any ideas anyone?

That is a terrific little plant and you will get regrowth from the rhizome, so don't give up on it.

OK. Over a time as long as that, it becomes a question of nutrients and deficiencies. The majority of us keeping aquatic plants in our tanks, will regularly use root tabs and liquid fertilisers. Lighting intensity and duration are first, and fertilisation second.

colinbarsby about a year. It's generally only the one plant. After the leaves go, it's just basically the tips of the stems and the roots

New plants will often drop leaves when they are moved, and in a few weeks begin to grow new leaves again. What is the name of your plant?

+Pete Stockus The best answer is, you probably should thaw first, that being said, I am usually so pressed for time, that I drop the food in Frozen most of the time. It thaws in the water within a minute.

+brian pickens My Clown loaches didn't touch the crypts for 6 months, but then they ate them down to the roots in only 4 days. We'll see what happens now. :-)
