Hi Mate, to edit to the music the way I do on MTF films takes 100s of hours work (a 30min MTF film is about a 300 hour edit). Where as no music 30min maybe takes 10-20 hours work (depends on how complex the content is, like if there's tons of different cameras filming same thing takes time to work out what the best angle is etc. but if just one camera can be really quick).

So even right now I'm editing MTF films (always editing) and they won't be out for months because of how long it takes but to compare, I went fishing two days ago and that night in 1.5 hours edited the whole film (only 7min long) and am about to upload it right now. So yeah I wish I had the time to do big MTF style edits even from my briggsy films but these are kinda ment to be easy/raw almost as a break from how skitzy the Morningtide films are to make!

Hi Mate, this is East Coast Aus, sorry I can't be specific on the location to stay on good terms with the locals but once you're up in the barrier reef zone you get the calmer seas and all the tropical fish start appearing. The fishing can be really on and really off though, it depends on a lot of factors, so if you do a trip come for at least a couple weeks to make sure you get good weather and can get out there!

We have enough footage for the next 7 Morningtide films which will bring us to this time next year (if each is about 2 months work). We're also off on our first MTF trip of the year in about a month, so if we add that to the ^12-14 months work already to get those 7 our it can be nearly 2 years of build up footage! haha which it's just getting to the point we have to do some trips MTF and some vlog, otherwise you will never see the footage!

Hi Mate, it's 200lb Varivas for GT nowadays with PE10 mainline! Totally different setup than the Tuna/Mackerel gear. At about 3:50 in on this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfxxG9T9G_o I show the knots/setup I'm using. Pretty much just an FG with Rizutto finish and a Uni knot with 4 wraps to the lure.

Haha yeah, it's free to go to hospital here. The knee is still a bit peppered (clicking and bee sting feel, sometimes wont hold my weight if weird angle) but all swelling is gone and much better than it was on the trip. I have a phobia of hospitals/doctors so only go as the full on last option lol. Been resting it heaps and slow/chilled stretching, got a month before next trip so I'm gunna start building up strength on it from now till then and just take it way more chilled (make Jonny carry my gear haha).

If this was TV, those hook-ups would have been shown to us in the promo's, in the opening sequence and flashed in between every other scene, by the time the actual hook-up happened we'd have been sick of seeing it. As it was, both takes had me more excited and entertained than any TV fishing show I've come across. Quality footage and a genuine atmosphere of not just mates but mates with a common goal, all totally invested in the moment. I fking love it mate, thanks for uploading. Yeah I can appreciate it's a difficult one, on the one hand you want to hook (lol) the viewer in the first couple of minutes to get them to commit to a 40 minute video, but on the other hand, the takes were that much more dramatic because I/ we/ the viewer hadn't already seen them. When you all cast out together my heart was in my mouth so to speak because I know how exciting situations like that are and I didn't know what was going to happen, just like when I'm actually fishing! Careful tailoring your content to please me tho, I'm a fkin weirdo, you might alienate the normies!
