never fun busting a rod :( I popped one when a grouper ate a little trev that took my live bait...... 44 gallon drum with fins didn't even realise he was hooked and went so far under the jetty i couldn't keep up with him.

im sure he takes all the necessary precautions before he heads out such as giving friends and rangers his itinerary of what hes doing and for how long. He probably also carries a distress beacon or some sort of high frequency radio to contact someone incase things do go sour.
