My 2 cents. Sebastian is an awesome spot, located on the north side of the inlet. To access the pier, you must pay an entrance fee to the state park. All Florida fishing rules and regulations apply. It can and does get very crowded, and sometime folks get really rude out there. Be kind people...if a fisherman has one on, give him (her) space to fight the fish. Let's help each other out. If you have a bridge net, use it to land and release the fish. But most importantly, pick up your trash! Why are fisherman such careless slobs when trash cans are everywhere! If you really want to make a difference, join CCA. www.CCA.org CCA fights the political and regulations for the recreational angler.

I live in Florida and have found that the fishermen in Sebastian, Mantanzas Inlet, and the end of most piers are selfish pricks who don't want anyone besides their little cliques there. So being me I tend to just was in amongst them and dare them to say a word. Most won't because I am a former power lifter and pro-wrestler and look like a really pissed off biker. But I have helped other people who were getting pushed back and bullied.
I have some good suggestions for places to fish but it seems like you go to all the " touristy" places. You need to get branch out a little.

The trash is a major problem anywhere really. i live in San Marcos Texas and we have a beautiful spring fed river that goes threw the town but when college is in full swing beer cans and trash is everywhere.

Just remember does not matter the size of the snook or red fish etc you have to put it back in the net and lower it down in the water I have been told by Fwc officers out there they are trying to stop people from dropping the fish like that over the side and that snook that was dropped like will shorten her life cause that drop will hurt there in sides so if u ever catch one like that or any fish that size lower it back in to he net

You guys never disappoint! Always have such great videos! Big thumbs up for poppa on his first Florida snook! And also thank you Erin for pointing out the trash situation! My wife and I fish there often and bless her heart I feel awful sometimes because she does the same thing and spends half her time cleaning up after the morons that don't realize it's not so much an issue for the anglers as it is for the sea life! Keep cranking them out guys! We'll keep watching and learning!

Why do you cast it out that is how you get snagged just drop it down that is where the fish are anyway cause the bait fish are under the pier for protection from the currents and the predatory fish are under the pier for the bait.

Careful with those snook, I heard you need a special license to be able to keep them. Unless that is just in certain parts of FL but be sure to check for your area. Most people fish for them for the sport because they aren’t easy and are very hard fighters! If you want a good fish to harvest, go with sheepshead, they’re easier to catch, usually, and are very good fare. GL on the water man

Not trying to be a dirk, but snook are sensitive. You shouldn't throw them back in off the pier. They should be lowered back in with the basket to give then the best shot at survival after catching an "out of slot" snook.

Big or little doesn't matter. Hitting the water compresses their organs and they get stunned and thrown into shock.

Great video Bubba! And you are correct about those who chase the big fish putting in their time. It takes lots of trial and error to get good at consistently landing big fish.

It’s taken me roughly 12 years to figure out how to catch big fish in the surf.

PS-A great rig to try if fishing over an area with looks of rocks/snags is a lemon rig or a modified slip bobber rig. On the modified slip bobber rig I make my “bobbers” out of pool noodles.

That allows you to cruise the live bait right tight over them rocks without having to worry about getting snagged or broke off by a big fish.

Senko Skipper you should try a fishing challenge! How about fishing with 1 dollar tackle bought from the WISH application? Order a bunch of random ones, but they can't be over a dollar! I recently got a bunch of them on wish and they are usually 1 dollar and 1 dollar to ship it. It take a couple of weeks to get the items though. However, they work great.

Awesome Video Skipper man! Couple of points: In addition to 28-32 inches, Snook in Florida can only be kept during open Snook season (Feb-May & Sept.-Dec.). You also need a "Snook Stamp" on your fishing license which is extra cash. Tell Erin that the reason for the plastic on the prier is that people in Florida are pigs. I've been an environmental engineer in Florida for 28 years and have encountered garbage in places you would not believe. I'm from the Ft. Lauderdale area but the Sebastian inlet is my favorite Florida inlet. I've seen dudes there pull up giant Redfish bigger than a truck. Love your tackle lessons. keep up the good work. Keep it Reel!

Our beaches in the Chesapeake bay are continuously being closed after heavy rains because of dog feces! I never leave the beach without a bag full of plastic and rubbish. The tourist in Va beach aren't told about the flesh eating bacteria in Rudee inlet. It's tough all over. Nice fishing video Senko Skipper. Also, I'm from Orlando and not all the fishermen are bad. You do not need a snook stamp if you are fishing recreationally from a pier that has a valid saltwater pier fishing license, you don't even need a fishing license. It's why they charge you different rates to go on the pier for being an observer or if you are fishing.

Lowering the snook in the net isn't really good enough tbh. The larger the snook usually the longer they take to revive. The best thing to do is get down to the water and lip the snook with current coming towards him through it's gills and when they are ready the will let go on there on. They will literally hold on to your thumb until they are ready to go. Releasing them is the best part for me

We call it a slip sinker rig up here. That's the main rig that I use for river fishing big cats. You could also use a wolf river rig/ three way rig with a heavy pencil sinker. It will almost eliminate snags.
