You should look at the Penn Mariner II's, they are only 6', stainless steel guides, built very good and only cost $40

I hav uglystik tiger and love it. Everything changed when i seen slow pitch jigging rod. Now i hav that rod from tsunami and cheaper than tiger. It has spiral guides

Hey man, I'm not sure if you are a veteran or not but I see that you have captain bars on ur hat. I'm recently retired and am moving to the area. I know nothing about kayak fishing but plan on getting to know the ropes when I arrive. If you could help out in anyway I would appreciate it!

I actually use an Ugly Stick Catfish rod I got in a little bait and tackle shop in Philly as my inshore rod.I paired it up with an inexpensive Okuma reel...forget the model...and have been using this setup close to 15 years now.

any suggestion getting rush off rods like that green stuff on the eye lids? Darn winter hasnt ended yelt. Wish last year i didnt snap a jigging world rod on a grouper who toke me into a hole.

I use several Ugly Stiks, Elite, GX2 and a Big Water. I want a Tiger but just haven't pulled the trigger. I have to say though my St Croix Mojo blows them all away, chics dig it. For surf I use a cheap 10' Daiwa Beef Stick with cut bait and let it soak. It works like a champ or maybe a chimp, not sure but it only cost me about $35 and it catches sea monsters.

Hey, just wanted to say hey and I love watching your videos. Been getting into kayak fishing a lot lately and have learned a bunch about offshore fishing from you as I'm usually a bass fisherman.
