G'day mate, great video, sad there was no fish mate, back 30 years ago the fish were plentiful, not just cod but bass and every Aussie fish, unfortunately tho poor management and construction of weirs have destroyed all native fish population. Its sad but the clowns in Parliament have destroyed such a beautiful country

The carp herpes virus is a big freakin "if" at the moment, we have no idea what this thing will actually do (other than what the government bureaucrats 'tell' us it will do), if it will create one of the worlds worst man made ecological disasters, or if it will actually just do it's job as 'intended' and clear the river systems of European carp.... Then you know that other fish Tilapia that also needs eradicating, herpes for them as well? I do not trust our governments to manage anything, they listen to who they want to listen to, more for kudos and pats on the backs so they can be individual 'heroes' than for the betterment of this country, from fish, fauna, flora and humanity. I totally agree with Ashley.

I don't know what other trips you've planned in Australia, but I certainly hope New Caledonia GTs is on your list. You cannot not fish for GTs when you are in Australia. Other species you can consider include Barramundi, Queenfish, Threadfin, Queensland Grouper (Aussie version of Goliath Grouper), Mulloway, etc.

Great video man, unfortunate you didn’t land one but your time will come. It took me 4 years of grinding to finally land a muskie from the bank! I hope you continue to have a blast in Australia. I actually just moved to the Jupiter area so I’m looking forward to more FL fishing videos as well. Inshore saltwater fishing is totally new to me!

I gotta hand it to you Lawson for putting in all that time and walking so far just to try and catch 1 big fish. I've had times doing a lot of walking and riding my bicycle to try and get into fish in the surf in CT, but got skunked with hardly any action.
