That pond is pretty bad. The best lake for bass is the lake with the paddle boats but only if you have a boat fish the trees in the back but watch out with the gator. Other than than tropical park has to much fishing pressure.

hey guys i go to tropical park in Miami to catch bass and peacock bass, i fish in the small pond by the big hill, ive only caught one largemouth but can you guys give me tips, ive used my strike king soft plastics, spinner baits, jerkbaits, and crankbaits, but i dont seem to get good hits, if you guys can help me out it would mean alot.

The canal connects to Snapper Creek but there's no going under Kendall Drive so no heavy fishing pressure can get there. There are three cross canals from this one that you can fish by walking. Two north of 103th Street and one south. When you get heavy rains for a few days, the water runs through the main canal.(there is a lock/dam at Kendall). The fishing can be hot! Good Night Fishing too. Around the South Dade Expressway Bridges (walk underneath) is good. I do miss the fishing down there.

Hey I am the one that just left comments on you Lake Catalina video. Used to fish Tropical Park as well. You are fishing the old race track lake? The one with the island in it with a bike path around it? Or is that the super small lake on the west side behind the big hill? Used to do most of my fishing business at the Fishing Line Tackle Store. Is it still open? Someone else mentioned a golf course. I used to fish Crooked Creek Golf Course that is on 103th St if I remember right. (continued)
