Nice tank, keeping angel fish and fighters is not recommended but If your tank is large enough should not be a problem. I have: 1 angel 3 rams 3 cherry barbs 1 cardinal (hardwater area ph to high) 1 gibisep plec & a syndontis All get on fine

My angelfish just swallowed a ghost shrimp that is too big for it. Now the fish is just sitting there gasping with its mouth wide open. Im worried. What can I do?

@xdaneyex Thanks for the info... super jealous... I have started the hunt for RummyNoses (our course now that I want them, I can't find them) and Angel fish.

wtf? I am preparing to get angel fish and everything I have read say that Betta's, and Rummynose tetras certainly DO NOT get along. I am very surprised they are in this tank together. Any chance you can tell me how they are doing now or how I went because that is exactly what I would love to put together but thought I couldn't; not even in a 46 gallon bowfront. Let me know, thanks.

I dont like to say every time you put a beta and an angel in a tank they will fight, it really depends on the fish. Like us we dont all have equal personalities. The betas and angels dont generally get along but this person apparantly made it work. Just for future reference research the fish you put i your tank it helps a lot.

You shouldn` keep bettas and angelfish in the same tank. They require different conditions, bouth of these species are pretty agresive when they become older so you can expect everything in this combination. i just think this is cruel...
