Funny how so many want evidence, and get shown...
And yet deny... Problem is you guys are believing scientist n not using common sense. If crocodiles are still here, then u can believe this shark is still here. Forget the specs given to us by scientist. Use ur brains!!!. Scientist are the ones who get the true info, and we are the ones who get mislead, misinformed, misguided. This big great white and form of sum what great white hybrid are huge!!! They are right in our waters.
When the sea turns red, we'll see the truth, bc everything in the waters will die. It will be to late. But, even now..these species have multiplied, and will start washing up on shores or swimming fast on shores to eat swimmers n walkers on the beach and will get stuck!!!

Let me explain:

Megalodon is ALREADY EXTINCT!
There are a number of reasons why but i'll tell you some of them.
1.) Water pressure
For those of you who say "we only explored <insert number>% of the ocean so megalodon is in the very deep part of the ocean", the deeper you go, the more pressure there is. With all of the pressure in the deep, megalodon would have shrinked, causing its lungs to collapse and killing the thing.
2.) its size
For those of you who say "megalodon and the coelacanth was alive <insert number> million years ago yet the coelacanth is still alive", well, the megalodon was HUMONGOUS! While the Coelacanth was only a few feet deep. So it's possible that the coelacanths were able to hide in a spot that had food but no predators, while megalodon required a huge amount of food. Since food became scarce that day, it was the end for the "King Of The Sea" .
So yeah, Megalodon IS IN FACT EXTINCT!
CR 2.0
CR 2.0 - 6 years ago
thank you so much . I appreciate it. :):):):) I see your point. I used to be the same way. Let's face it its a long shot that Megalodon is still alive. The POINT is that we have no even searched the whole ocean so we do not know if it is still alive. It's a smaller chance that it is alive than it is extinct, but there is still a chance. Just because I haven't hit the lottery and placed many times, it doesn't mean the jackpot doesn't exist. It's good to be open to the small possibilities because when we do find them, it's like hitting the jackpot because of how rare it is.

Ezell Torres megaldons are not proven to be extinct yet because only 3% of the ocean is explored there is still a lot of creatures that weren't discovered this video shows a basking shark first if it was a predatory shark it would have attacked the person already second the megaladon doesn't go to shallow waters they only stay in the deep if you want proof of how I know this scientist found most of the megaldons' teeth about 4000-6000 feet below sea level

I tell you this certainly is not a Megalodon. I know because I caught a Mega on my spinner just last summer (twenty pound test). It put up a good fight but in the end I got it aboard (I was alone, too). A few minutes later I threw it back as it wasn't over the minimum limit of forty-five feet and 25 tons. I'll remember that fishing incident forever!

It's very unlikely that Megalodon still lives. But if it does live, we would of spotted it a long time ago, because it was a shark that lived in the surface waters, and there would be unexplained whale carcasses

The Megalodon is gone people. They can't sustain their big mass with what the oceans have to offer these days. They're simply too big. The last of them died out while eating each other. There's no way they're still alive. NOT EVEN IN THE DEEP OCEANS. ESPECIALLY NOT THERE! Get over it people. It's sad, but they're gone. All of these video's are from different sea creatures. It's not EVER going to be a Megalodon. The chances of a Megalodon being found are about as big as finding a T-Rex. It's just NOT gonna happen!

It is possible that the giants still live, after the frilled shark found off the coast of japan was thought to be extinct too. Science cannot say they are 100% certain because the oceans they live(d) in are 4% discovered and explored. this is not a basking shark but is also not a great white or mega, hard to tell really but the snout protrudes too much to be a basking or whale

and were supposed to believe this is 70 odd feet long? give your head a wobble.

also, if what were lead to believe is true, a megalodon lives deep underwater where the temperature is cold. the likelyhood of one being seen on the surface is zero because of a.) the temperature and b.) the pressure would be wrong (if its only used to being at the deepest depths, then the likelyhood of its body being able to withstand low pressure is almost zero)

of course, that is accepting the premise that the megalodon has survived to this day, which we have no evidence of one way or another.

tell you what though, this aint one.

Considering we do not know what a meg looms like, its hard to say " that's a meg". How can we determine a meg fin by the shape of its teeth? Meg teeth resemble great white teeth.we would well to presume the fin resembles that of a great white also. For all we know the meg may of been the great white but shrunk over time.I doubt that that was the fin of a meg. I sell meg teeth for a job making me familiar with them.

the Megladon is under a lot of scientific studys and they have cameras in a lot of places in the oceans so they can see if there is a new species or something like that anyways area 51 has most shit about the Megladon soo in the oceans there is a rock that was covering the Megladon because of the astroid that hit earth blocked about 3 Megladons one was pregnant the other one dyed off the one that was pregnant died right as the baby was born.or great white sharks kept on having baby's so the 0% chance of getting a Megladons every 100000000000 years could of happend but that reason is way more rare can I get 10 likes on this because I did a hell a lot of research to do this comment soo.

I'm a christian medium, and what I'm being told from above is that this shark is an extremely large Bull shark. It feeds in Pacific Ocean in deeper waters and should not of been so close to shore. It's prey are seals and it swam back out to deeper waters in search of food. The Megalodon shark is no longer in existence. It died off with the dinosaurs. That the message I'm getting thought I'd share.

Considering there's never a single object in the frame to give us a reference point, there's absolutely no way to tell the size of this thing. Therefore, it's probably just a regular Basking Shark, or something similar. There certainly isn't anything that points to this being a 60 foot shark that has been extinct for over a million years.

I think if a Megalodon is ever spotted it would have to be deep deep deep down in the depths of the ocean, not on the surface. Scientists are saying they can only live in those certain areas because of the climate changes.

That's a basking shark, really tasty eating after boiling out the urea; healthy too, it's a giant filter feeding plankton eater, shark liver oil comes this shark too (reaaaal tasty). Healthy to eat because it contains very little mercury because it eats the lowest on the food chain (plankton), only problem is its a slow grower and heading to endangerment. I think the EU has banned fishing this species. Gets up to 40 ft long, distant cousin on the great white, it's practically toothless with gill rakers instead to catch the plankton in it's goo-like mucous.

I want to believe that the Megalodon is still alive.
Still even though some parts of the ocean are not explored yet or unreachable.
The Megalodon does exist as much as a T-Rex does.

For sure the world would seen the animal by now in millions of years.
The predator needs a huge chunk of food and that's not on the bodem of the ocean.
Wales and other big fish cannot move there.

We should have seen it by now really!
This animal is no octopus.
Its a big meat eating predator.

Not trying to convince anyone.
But even though i want to believe, I do strongly belive it is not alive anymore.

Not true whatsoever. Look it up. There have been beached whales with bite marks taken out the size that a megladon mouth would be. Megalodon sharks probably aren't alive today, because it's not like two of them will find each other and reproduce. It's highly unlikely. Also, if they do exist, humans still wouldn't have any proof, because those sharks would be in one of the deepest parts of the ocean or a hidden part of the ocean, due to their size, diet, etc..

Given the amount of time it has been since they supposedly went extinct, if they remained the same, I would agree with you +Brian Hunter, But quite a bit can happen in 2 million years given that the least amount of time it takes to evolve is around 1 million. Who knows, if it is alive and has managed to evolve according to its new habitat it could very well be a deep ocean shark now we haven't discovered. Plus there is a fact that we have discovered space far more than our own oceans. Only 5% has been discovered. In my honest opinion I would stay open minded to any possibilities.

But they found a Megalodon tooth in the Mariana trench and guess what temp that is you guest it cold so don't say something you don't know
Alexis Russell
Alexis Russell - 7 years ago
Megalodons do NOT exist. It's actually quite simple to prove. 1. Because of their large size and are cold blooded they need to be in the warmer waters to regulate their body temperatures. So they will not be part of the deep blue sea like the giant squid. This is enforced by fact of finding their fossilized teeth in the shallow warmer waters 2. Again due to their size they need to ingest A LOT of food. So they will need to be constantly near an area where there are plentiful resources 3. The fact that we have not come across anything by fossilized teeth and no evidence of extremely large attacks. (Remember people, Great Whites are huge growing up to about 25 feet in length. Whale sharks eat plankton)

Basking shark. A mrgaladon would have been a LOT larger and the fin wouldn't be so rounded and it would have been taller, a megaladon fin wouldn't be so short.
