Don't tap on the glass or startle the fish as it is likely to injure itself in its' mindless flight. They can get hysterical when frightened and dash madly around the aquarium. They will often bash into the sides of the aquarium, ornaments or other fish. After such a flight, you may see the fish sink to the bottom of the aquarium and lie on its side or back until it recovers.

Hi. I think they would eat what ever they could fit in there mouth. Be cautious! The Pangasius Catfish or Iridescent Shark Catfish have bad eyesight and they are a nervous fish that can be easily spooked!

Care and feeding: Since they are omnivorous, the Pangasius Catfish or Iridescent Shark Catfish will generally eat all kinds of live, fresh, and flake foods. To keep a good balance give them a high quality flake food or pellet everyday. Feed brine shrimp (either live or frozen) or blood worms. As they get older they loose their teeth, and like the Pacus, become more and more vegetarian.

@spero18 As in they lie on the gravel not moving on there side. I just recently started a tank and saw this fish in the shop, they never told me how big the little buggers get. But since we have gotten him he lies on his side breathing , but not moving, the 1st time we saw this i thought he was dead. Is this normal?

i have one too, a baby, and yah they do keep getting bigger everyday.has yours ever had a stroke?mine's had 3
