I have a small yacht just under $6 million (work hard and no inheritance!) but the reason why those people seem arrogant is because of the frequent stupid requests like these guys. I have had people ask come take their pics on deck constantly - random strangers all the time. You need to find an owner not a crew member.... You will be much more likely to be let on board that way. The crew wont let you on because its their job to look after the Yacht, the owner however might just be happy to show you around. Some of these yachts are also rented from the actual owner so again, its unlikely they will let you on board.

Most have very busy lives and they are very jelous of their privacy and ultimately there are security issues, both personal and relative to their belongings on board (the larger yachts are often decorated with high value art and it's pretty common to have around items of great value.
Ultimately it's their (floating) home....would you let tworandom arrogant american kids into your house just cause they ask you shouting from outside?

veleter987 grand you have to look at it from their perspective. The elite spend a lot of money on those boats like initial cost/insurance/maintenance along with a crew and security. For some random group of guys wanting a tour for no aparent reason and not with a camera crew or media company, it seems kinda strange. Nobody with a brain would donate money for the sake of seeking monetary gains...no matter how much you save on taxes you will still almost always suffer a net loss (especially if you assume that the money would've otherwise been invested). No, they don't. There's a very small cap of tax deduction you receive from giving to charity and on top of that I seriously hope you look up what a tax deduction is. A tax deduction doesn't mean you receive 100% of that money back. You just receive your tax bracket (say 39.6%) back.
