Yes, plants need time to rest just like your fish. If your lights are on 24 hours your'e promoting algae growth and hurting the balance in your tank. Also remember that your fish sleep with their eyes open and they're not going to be able to sleep very well with your light shining in their eyes. I recommend leaving your lights on from 7-9 hours.

@nicofish1000 same here may put a 10 gallon and probably a 20 gallon throw some plants in there (by summer it aready have trimed plants in my 29 alot) and mabey breed some kind of fish in them idk we jsut gotta see how it goes

@nicofish1000 Roll with it!!!. I'll be honest, I am sad I don't have more room for more tanks. I do, but I think my wife might shit. That's why the green house is going to be tight.. I wish I could just have a tank to spawn rainbows in. I'm thinking of throwing the baby boes in the 220 and then alternating fish spawns in that 75...

as always impressive man got to say you have inspired me. next summer im going to set up another pond just temporary to breed TONS of tetra from ghost skirt to Argentina tetras to black neons and cardinal. its going to be so intense also ill try and breed some plants just like you do. lol summer just ended and im making plans already. if all works out well I should have hundreds of fish by summers end.

Dustin this is an absolute beauty, you gotta give me some pointers on aquascaping. I got a 90 set up and i'm tempted to do a rescape, I think i just need a nice sword cause the middle seems very empty. also i'm down to buy some baby tears off you.
