I saw the video today this morning I'm really gutted for you, I know as a fishkepper that we all have a favourite fish, when something like that happens you go into shock yourself and it takes time to get over it.
Frank is a cool Flowerhorn, I like his character.
I send you an email a day or 2 ago asking for your advice on the Cichlids that I'm hoping to set up.
I know you must get thousands of emails a week and that you are a very busy person.
In my first email I sent you their were a few spelling mistakes, I don't sleep to well and I take meds to help me sleep.
You are a true master at what you do.
I hope if possible you can get back and give me the advice that I know you know.

Did you end up wasting 2000L of water?
Some water will get in there, either by humidity or splashes from the fish or when removing the lids or something...
beforethe fish go in. That way, you know theyll actually kick in correctly, and you'll have the hard numbers for their runtime. Just my $0.02USD on it. :)Still have a nice selection of large fish for you for this great tank if you want.
I would recommend you to run a drain line on the T&P water heater to the exterior or a drain just incase one day goes off it does flood your room as a precautions.

A question for the aquarium gallery: Have you given any thought to keeping intertidal species and maybe even semiaquatic animals such as crabs? There's very little information on how to keep brackish water fish out there and I'd love to see how you would rig a system up that has a water area and a land area.
