There are two categories of aquariums at the contest, XL aquariums (100x50x50 cm) and Nano (25x25x30 cm). In 2013 there were about 30 tanks on each category. In this video I show first five aquariums of the XL category. Aquariums were provided by Eheim, as well as aquarium lighting (T5 fluorescent tubes) and external aquarium canister filters. No CO2 systems were used during exhibition, but they were certainly used during pre-growing phase - most planted aquarium were set up long time in advance, before the contest. Tropical aquarium fish are absent in the aquariums, because they are forbidden by the rules of the contest.
i am VERY impressed, i want that in my basement, NOW !
I just started my first aquarium with my son, its a 15g, i added 3 kinds of plants, its excellent LEDs, and added yeast CO2 2 hours ago, plants are not losing health, but didnt grow in 2 weeks, i hope the CO2 will help.
Im getting a new house built next spring, i WILL build a bigger aquarium then, hidden in a wall probably. I like beautiful small fish groups, but seeing these clips with stunning landscapes, its near more cool than the fishes.
Its like honey i shrunk the kids movie.
I wish it becomes a hobby and i can enjoy the calm picture frame to relax when im inside.
