you did a dry start with the bonsai tree... did the Riccardia Chamedryfolia need special attention while misting. i guess it would dry out far more than the substrate level.. i am planning on a similar kind of setup but with christmas moss.. would that dry out if i do a dry start?

Awesome scape! I have a 12 gallon long and am looking to do this sort of thing but I feel the height/depth may not be enough. I checked out about 9 pages of your link but it's in a different language. I used google translate but I'm not sure on the dimensions still.
Are the dimensions in inches? 40"L x 30"W x 30"H ?

Ahh read through the comments here. It's in cm :) I've redone my tank layout twice now and I'm still not happy with it. Wondering if I should ditch the fake white 'coral'. Which I thought was supposed to resemble rock. NOPE.
First picture 'after'. Second is 'before'. And I like the 'before' better. I want the tank filled with plants but I find filling in the 'blank' middle spots difficult.

+Todd Howard you can't. It's better to use "Power sand",by ADA under Amazonia, but in small tanks you can use just Amazonia. Power sand is good in tanks over 60x30 cm..

Cladophora is easy to buy in big parts, and riccardia I would have to grow like you did on your other videos and this takes probably loong time and first of all another tank for it :/

ciao dovrei allestire il mio primo acquario, volevo qualcosa di semplice tipo sabbia e qualche arredo in resina. ma devo dire che questo alberello di Bonsai mi ha colpito... ecco perchè volevo chiederti se posso realizzarlo e inserirlo tra le cose che prevedevo per il mio acquario... senza dover utilizzare fertilizzanti o terriccio per piante, ecc. solo sabbia e qualche pietra.

Certamente.. la chioma è di riccardia, un "muschio" che richiede pochissime attenzioni.. il rischio è semmai di eccedere con luce e fertilizzanti. La co2 ti aiuterebbe in ogni caso. Cmq se vuoi qualche dritta in più sotto al video trovi un link da dove puoi accedere alla pagina con info dettagliate e dove poter fare tutte le domande che vuoi.. ;-)
