Been checking out the VLOG for a couple months. The novelties originally caught my eye. The reality of surfing is most days aren't great, so the stoke comes from within. Your New years post is the one that really got me. I've been sober ever since. I figure it's been about 400 beers not consumed since then. For The Win!!

Grew up in SoCal moved to Nor Cal and lived in El Granada. Watched Bob Barbor film Jeff Clark at Mavs when it hit the cover of Surfer Mag back in December 92ish?.
Used to stand in my kitchen sipping coffee watching 30 to 50 footers off the point. The Jetty out in front of E Town had a rebound wave but the swell had to be almost due South.
Anyways just wanted to let you know one of your subscribers is a 50yo guy who now lives in Texas and enjoys the passion you put into your work.. Keep it up man.. Looking forward to your session at the surf ranch.

My young brother from another mother. I am 56 years old as we get distracted from the dream. And now my kids are your age . The dream is on I started surfing hardcore about 5 years ago . not just the weekend warrior. That preceded that for 20-something years . The dream gets lost for a lot of us. keeping the dream alive is a good thing.. much love brother

I think you said it pretty good in the interview. I don't surf or scrap or drift trike, but still been following you guys since day 1. It is that passion for doin what makes you happy first and not catering to an audience that i think is the underlying message in all your guys vlogs. It really shows after watching for awhile. Once again, SO nice if you to take your time out for an interview on The Corn Life Network!...keeping in touch with the fans makes ALL the difference...there are so many YouTubers that I don't watch anymore because they don't respond to comments or interact with their fans...I only have so much time to watch YouTube and I have to get selective with what I'm watching...so winner, winner, chicken dinner...the Ben Gravy channel is one of the only channels that I make sure I watch EVERY video. What would you be without the NUB Nation? Would your lifestyle be working without that support? Probably not, so keeping it real with your commentors and fans is what it's all about...BESIDES the fact that you are a fun dude to watch, your very entertaining and a GREAT surfer!

As your doctor I am advising you to not board slide the wooden rails. I don't want you to break your ankle or shoulder and miss out on the Van exploration. Those "chunky" waves look just like the waves we surf in the Gulf when we actually get a decent wind swell. It looks disorganized (which it is) but you can find some fun waves. Yeww, glad you didn't break you leg.
