I normally wouldn’t write a comment but really don’t like Pottz and the way he tries to make surfing a boxing match. I’m also glad he isn’t on the Goldy we have plenty aggressive jocks at the points these days. All the other presenters are spot on.

The hassling upset Florence enough to make him over try on the first turn instead of the usual getting the feel of it then doing your thing. I have friends that actually get feistier when they're hassled so it doesn't work on everybody

This new head judge is just the best of all!! What a new brand league!! This year is gonna be sooo excited.. to be the best surfer in the world, surfers really have to put all their streights fot it.. what we haven't seen on those past years.. like just Bobby said, more hasle, less jetsky and no 10-point waves from airs.. let's be honest, that's the real surf show. So great to see those old fellas who were getting scores from nowhere in the past, getting angry about the new scale.. what a year to come!!!

wsl eating this heat up and licking the plate clean. Zekes 7 was pretty cool although I will say not letting someone paddle to a certain spot in the lineup should not be aloud. I mean if you watch, zeke isnt allowing John to paddle over to where he wants to go...interferance imo..but what do i know i dont make the rules. I understand you can shadow someone to put pressure but to get in someones way like that..

Its only te second event has a lot to come, much to proove, i mean : last year Medina only advanced on tour at the end of event with one or two conquer ( i don't remember ), JJ is alive and is very dangerous , and no doubt that he's is one of the favourites to title... so let's see the next chapters.

John John's surfing was really fluid. If he hadn't blown that last section he'd have won. Free surfers don't usually ride the inside closeout anymore so they can't do floaters when its over four foot very often. They'd be better off kicking out than taking on Bell's inside because the water runs to shore so fast and hard there it's really hard to pull off much.

This is why I stopped watching pro surfing in the late 90s. the priority system was meant to stop hassling and make it about the surfing not who’s the best Hassler, I feel like pro surfing has taken a negative turn this year I’m hating the vibe. I started watching again in 2014 but I’m giving up again I felt like surfing lost its soul today so I’m out, sad but I will still surf everyday and not give a fuck about pro surfing

I do enjoy watching most Brazilian only matches due to most of them having mutual respect towards each other. Lau shouldn't try so hard to eat his own as the saying goes. You never know when you'll need that person that you hustled when you're so new... I also respect Pottz though, because he grew up in an era of surfing where it was a Hustler's delight out there. It's just that the Brazilians hold nothing back and just surf it to shreds.
