I am trying out a new betta fish retirement setup using the medium size critter keeper that is about 2.5 gallons.. realistically I think its more like 2 gallons. Some fish do better in large tanks while others do well in smaller setups so it is best to choose what works for your individual betta fish.

Hey guys these are my Betta fish that I have had for about 5-6 weeks or so along with a green cory catfish. This is a 10 gallon fish tank with a Aqueon heater and a top fin 10 gallon filter. These are the last survivors out of 8-9 other fish that I had.

If you have a glass betta bowl or something small, just soak it in hot water with a fish-safe cleaner or a bleach-water solution. Make sure to research how to properly use bleach for aquarium use before carrying out the procedure. Eliminate diseased or seriously ill fish from the tank.

Do not use soaps or detergents of any kind; theyll kill your fish. Step two: thoroughly rinse off any gravel, aquarium rocks and any other tank decorations with warm water before placing them into the empty tank.
