I tried discus for the first time, and it has not gone well at all. A few of the discus have died, and I am left with two that seem to be doing well. This is an establish planted aquariums and only the discus have died. The corydoras, shrimp, apistos and tetras have all been fine.

135 gal discus community tank, 75 gal sump.
The video was taken at 12:30am and everyone is either sleeping or very grumpy. The lights were on because an ill-matched discus pair decided to spawn in the display (the spawning tank is full) and is still guarding the eggs.
This is one week after all of the plants were cut right back .

A new discus pair spawned in the display tank on a sword stem as i already had another pair with eggs it is quite easy to save the batch and this is how enjoy.

My first attempt of keeping discus fish failed and later with some more research I found the trick on keeping discus fish. Actually discus need their desired temperature and water condition which is very specific in case of their juveniles. So i get a lot of questions about my 55 gallon discus community tank and how i manage to keep fish and plants all in an equilibrium.
