I am trying out a new betta fish retirement setup using the medium size critter keeper that is about 2.5 gallons.. realistically I think its more like 2 gallons. Some fish do better in large tanks while others do well in smaller setups so it is best to choose what works for your individual betta fish.

I finally got my new fish tank home- so called "Aqueon Mini Bow Desktop Aquarium".
Unfortunately, I got two bad surprises.
The tank was on 1 gallon, when it was suppose to be a 2.5 gallon.
It clearly said in the description that this tank was 2.5 gallon.
Well, it wasnt. I think that 2.5 gallon is the minimun size for a Betta fish. They shouldnt live...

I've had this guy for about a month now. He was nearly dead when I got him, wasn't sure if he'd make it for a few days. Now he swims around like this in his 100 gallon tank all day long. I think he's pretty happy that he no longer has to live in a cup.

All this fish ever does is attack his own tail. He is extremely overly-aggressive and destroys his tail fin whenever it gets long enough for him to reach it. I vary his diet with bloodworms, live mosquito larvae and betta pellets. He eats like a pig, and then goes back to spinning in circles trying to reach his tail again! SOOOOOOO frustrating......
